Raheem Blackshear has officially rejoined the Panthers, as confirmed by the NFL’s transaction report for Thursday. His return was expected after the team tendered him a contract as an exclusive rights free agent, leaving him with no option but to negotiate solely with them.

Over the past two seasons, Blackshear has appeared in 25 games for the Panthers. During this time, he accumulated 37 carries for 123 yards and three touchdowns, in addition to making 16 catches for 138 yards.

Furthermore, Blackshear has been involved in returning 35 kickoffs for Carolina, boasting an average of 26.9 yards per return. With recent changes to kickoff rules implemented at this week’s league meetings, he might find himself with even more opportunities to showcase this aspect of his game.
