Nikora accepts two-match ban

Sharks’ forward Briton Nikora will sit out the next two games as he accepted an early guilty plea for a Grade 2 careless high tackle against Bulldogs’ player Viliame Kikau during Friday’s match. Nikora was penalized and temporarily sent off during the first half of the 25-6 victory over Canterbury at PointsBet Stadium. Since this was his second offense, Nikora would have faced a three-game suspension if he contested the charge unsuccessfully. As a result, the 26-year-old will be absent for the upcoming game against Wests Tigers at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday, as well as the Round 4 home fixture against the Raiders on Easter Sunday.
