The Denver Broncos have secured the services of seasoned linebacker Cody Barton, as confirmed by his agent David Canter in a social media announcement on Friday evening.
Barton, aged 27, demonstrated his prowess on the field by amassing 121 tackles during his tenure with the Washington Commanders last season. This impressive performance followed a career-best 136 tackles in his final season with the Seattle Seahawks in 2022.
Prior to these notable achievements, Barton served as a rotational player for the Seahawks, having been drafted by them in the third round from the University of Utah in 2019.
The terms of Barton’s contract entail a one-year agreement with a base salary of approximately $3.5 million.
His arrival in Denver comes as a replacement for Josey Jewell, who recently departed to
