NFL Insider Predicts Major Turnaround for Panthers in 2025
The Carolina Panthers struggled last season, finishing among the league’s worst teams with a disappointing 1-7 start that crushed any playoff hopes early. However, after years of mediocrity since 2018, brighter days may finally be ahead.
According to CBS Sports‘ Jeff Kerr, the Panthers are one of five teams poised for a major leap forward in 2025, alongside the Chargers, Patriots, 49ers, and Seahawks. Kerr highlights the Panthers’ strong finish last season, where they went 4-5 in their final nine games, as a sign of progress.
A key factor in Carolina’s potential rise is Bryce Young. After an early-season benching, Young rebounded impressively, posting 20 touchdowns to just eight turnovers, including 10 total touchdowns with zero turnovers in his last three games. Kerr believes the young QB is finally looking like a true No. 1 overall pick.
With Young showing promise and a new coaching staff in place, the Panthers could be on the verge of a breakthrough season. While power rankings remain skeptical, many believe Carolina is quietly laying the foundation for a surprise resurgence in 2025.
