Newcastle United is gearing up for a bustling summer, anticipating changes to their main squad. Recently, they’ve secured one-year contract extensions for Emil Krafth and Jamaal Lascelles, ensuring their stay at St James’ Park until 2025. However, there are still decisions pending on the contracts of four other first-team players, while two loaned players are set to depart when their agreements conclude in June.

Yet, it’s the potential incoming transfers that have caught the attention of Newcastle fans. The club is poised to kick off its summer transfer activity with the permanent acquisition of Lewis Hall from Chelsea. Newcastle is obliged to purchase Hall for £28 million plus £7 million in add-ons if certain performance criteria are met. However, Hall’s limited game time has raised uncertainties about his future.

Despite his sparse appearances—just 11 for United, with his last start dating back to November—there’s confidence from manager Eddie Howe that Hall will be a permanent fixture. Howe affirmed his preparation for Hall’s long-term presence at Newcastle, highlighting the player’s qualities and the club’s belief in his potential.

When considering player contracts, Newcastle World has analyzed the expiration dates of all contracts, revealing that six players are currently set to leave the club as free agents.
