The Gophers football program offered a scholarship to 2026 Pennsylvania linebacker Angel Luciano on Tuesday, as he announced on social media. Luciano has drawn strong Division I interest, including from other Big Ten programs.
Luciano, a 6-foot-3, 220-pound linebacker and edge rusher from Steelton-Highspire High School in Harrisburg, Pa., currently holds no rankings on recruiting sites like 247Sports and Rivals. However, he’s drawn considerable attention from Division I programs. Minnesota became his 11th Division I scholarship offer, joining Akron, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Delaware, Liberty, Maryland, Michigan State, Old Dominion, Pittsburgh, and Syracuse, according to 247Sports.
