With the college football season wrapping up just over a week ago, it’s never too early to start looking ahead to next fall and what Notre Dame‘s roster might bring.

While the Irish will miss star cornerback Benjamin Morrison, most roster changes involve backup transfers and players who exhausted their eligibility. This leaves Notre Dame with a strong core of elite talent, as highlighted by On3‘s top-10 impact players for the 2025 season.

Two Irish standouts, cornerback Leonard Moore and running back Jeremiyah Love, made the prestigious list after their impressive contributions during Notre Dame’s run to the College Football Playoff Championship game.

Moore, ranked No. 8, earned Freshman All-American honors after tallying 48 tackles, two forced fumbles, two interceptions, and 11 pass breakups. If he can convert a few more of those deflections into turnovers, Moore could cement himself as one of the nation’s premier defensive backs.

Meanwhile, Love claimed the final spot on the list, though many would argue he deserves a higher ranking. Despite battling injuries, he racked up 1,125 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns, adding 28 receptions for 237 yards and two more scores. If he stays healthy, Love could earn All-American honors next season.

While Heisman contention may be unlikely due to volume, Love remains one of the most dynamic and electrifying players in college football.
