The Tennessee Titans are set to hire Mike Borgonzi, the Kansas City Chiefs‘ assistant general manager, as their new GM, according to multiple reports on Friday.

Although contract negotiations have yet to begin, both Borgonzi and the Titans are eager to reach an agreement, per ESPN.

The Titans are in search of a new GM after parting ways with Ran Carthon on January 7 following two seasons with the team. Carthon was appointed as Tennessee’s GM in January 2023 and added the executive vice president role in January 2024.

During Carthon’s tenure, the Titans posted a 9-25 record, including a dismal 3-14 mark this season, securing the No. 1 overall pick for the 2025 NFL Draft.

Borgonzi comes to Nashville after a 16-year stint with the Chiefs, where he most recently served as assistant GM starting in 2021.
