The New York Knicks have formally acquired Shake Milton, a guard previously traded by the Minnesota Timberwolves to the Detroit Pistons on February 8. Subsequently, Milton was released by the Pistons.

This season, Milton has been averaging 4.9 points, 1.6 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.4 steals, and 0.1 blocks, with shooting percentages of 40.3% from the field, 27.4% from beyond the arc, and 80.9% from the free-throw line.

Originally selected by the Dallas Mavericks as the 54th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft from SMU, Milton, a native of Owasso, holds career averages of 8.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.2 blocks, having played for the Sixers, Timberwolves, and Pistons.

The Knicks currently boast a season record of 36-25, positioning them in fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings.
