Georgia Football has strengthened its roster by securing Benjamin Yurosek from the Transfer Portal. Yurosek, formerly of Stanford, joins the Dawgs with an impressive track record, having established himself as one of the top tight ends not only in the Pac-12 but nationally as well.

During his tenure at Stanford, Yurosek showcased his skills, amassing 1,342 receiving yards on 108 receptions over four years, with a standout performance as the Cardinals’ leading receiver in 2021, tallying 658 yards. Despite a setback in 2023 due to a shoulder injury that limited him to six games, Yurosek is poised for a strong return in the upcoming season.

Why Georgia football went out and added Stanford tight end Benjamin Yurosek

Hailing from Bakersfield, California, Yurosek draws comparisons to Georgia’s own Brock Bowers, having demonstrated versatility by also carrying the ball during his time at Stanford. With Yurosek’s addition, Georgia’s tight end corps, which already boasted talent like Oscar Delp, is further reinforced, promising an exciting prospect for the team’s offensive capabilities in 2024.

Under Kirby Smart’s guidance, the Dawgs have been active in utilizing the Transfer Portal to bolster their offensive arsenal, welcoming talents like Trevor Etienne, Colbie Young, Michael Jackson III, and Landon Humphries. With such depth and skill at their disposal, Georgia is poised to field a formidable offense in the upcoming season, with Yurosek’s arrival only enhancing their prospects.
