Aston Villa is nearing an agreement with Leon Bailey for a new contract, which is expected to be finalized and announced shortly. Fans of Villa will likely be excited and reassured by this development, especially considering Bailey’s current contract expires in June 2025. Despite facing challenges with injuries and inconsistency in his initial seasons, the 28-time Jamaica international has emerged as a crucial player this season.

The 26-year-old will join Ezri Konsa and Ollie Watkins as the third senior player to secure his future with the club this season. Upon signing the new contract, Bailey is expected to gain further confidence, validating Villa’s £25 million investment made to acquire him from Bayer Leverkusen in August 2021.
