Indianapolis Colts Stir Controversy: Legendary Veteran DL Added to Practice Squad as Team Shockingly Dumps Two Starting CBs

On Tuesday, the Indianapolis Colts executed a series of roster changes. They added defensive tackle Adam Gotsis, cornerback Gregory Junior, and defensive end Titus Leo to the practice squad, while releasing defensive tackle McTelvin Agim and cornerback Ameer Speed to make space.

Among the new signings, Gotsis stands out. With eight NFL seasons and 121 games under his belt, he was a key player for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2023, starting seven of 17 games and contributing 26 tackles, four pass defenses, three tackles for loss, and one sack, along with 330 special teams snaps.

Junior, also a former Jaguar, was drafted in the sixth round of 2022 and played nine games last season, making 11 tackles, three tackles for loss, and one pass defended in just 93 defensive snaps.

Leo, initially drafted by the Colts in the sixth round of 2023, returns to the practice squad just six days after being waived.

In terms of departures, Agim, a 2020 third-round pick of the Denver Broncos, had been on the Colts’ practice squad since late August. Speed, who was claimed off waivers from the New England Patriots last season and played eight games as a special teams contributor, did not make the 53-man roster this year but was briefly part of the practice squad.
