The Philadelphia Eagles are expected to remove Texas wide receiver Isaiah Bond from their draft board following recent sexual assault charges filed against him.

Bond, who was previously projected as a first-round pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, turned himself in to authorities on Thursday due to an outstanding warrant related to the alleged assault of a female student. He has since posted bail in Frisco, Texas—coincidentally the home of the Dallas Cowboys—and was released pending trial.

With just weeks remaining before the draft, Bond now faces a legal battle that could derail his NFL future. Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has made it clear that the organization has a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to violence against women, suggesting Bond is no longer under consideration.

“Violence against women is a deal-breaker for us. I don’t even look at those players,” Roseman said during an April 2 media session.

While the legal process will determine Bond’s guilt or innocence, the implications are already significant. Even if not convicted, the mere presence of these allegations may impact his draft status—similar to what happened to punter Matt Araiza, who was released by the Bills after being named in a civil suit, despite never being charged.

Once a rising star heading into the draft, Bond’s future is now filled with uncertainty. Regardless of the outcome, the situation has already left its mark.
