Tennessee Staying Aggressive in Pursuit of In-State 2027 Star Kesean Bowman

The Tennessee Volunteers continue their strong push to secure elite in-state talent, with Kesean Bowman emerging as a top target in the 2027 recruiting class. A dynamic athlete out of Brentwood Academy in Nashville, Bowman excels at both wide receiver and cornerback and has drawn interest from major programs across the country.

Tennessee has already made waves in the 2026 cycle by landing Tyreek King, the top in-state receiver, and now they’re turning their attention to Bowman — the premier pass-catching prospect in Tennessee for 2027.

Despite still having two years of high school football ahead of him, Bowman has already taken multiple trips to Knoxville, including game day visits even when his high-profile quarterback teammate George MacIntyre wasn’t on campus. His consistent interest in the Vols speaks volumes.

Bowman’s football pedigree is also impressive. He comes from a well-known football family — his uncles Devin Bowman (Georgia), Mike Bowman (Alabama), and Adarius Bowman (Oklahoma State) all played at the Division I level. Now, Kesean is building his own path and is viewed by many as a future star with a complete skill set that could rival his relatives.

Tennessee has made Bowman a top priority in their 2027 class and sees him as a potential game-changer. While he’s being heavily recruited as a wide receiver, his skills at cornerback are equally intriguing, giving him two legitimate paths to shine at the next level. As the Vols aim to dominate in 2027 recruiting, landing Bowman would be a massive win on multiple fronts.
