Miami Dolphins’ Disappointing 2024 Season Sparks Tyreek Hill Trade Speculation
The Miami Dolphins fell short of expectations in 2024, finishing 8-9 despite a projected 10-win season and missing the playoffs.
Following the team’s early exit, star wide receiver Tyreek Hill voiced his frustration, fueling speculation about a potential trade. While no deal has materialized yet, that could change in the coming weeks, especially with the NFL Draft approaching—a time when player movement often accelerates.
One team to watch in a possible trade scenario is the Houston Texans. Despite entering 2024 with a strong wide receiver corps, their current situation is far less stable heading into 2025.
Veteran wideout Stefon Diggs remains a free agent after playing just eight games for Houston, and Tank Dell is expected to miss the entire 2025 season. Adding Hill alongside Nico Collins would give quarterback C.J. Stroud two elite weapons in the passing game.
In return, Miami could receive a package including third- and fifth-round draft picks while allowing Jaylen Waddle to take on a larger offensive role. However, the Texans must decide if they’re willing to take on Hill’s hefty salary—though acquiring a player of his caliber could significantly elevate their offense.
Houston struggled offensively last season, ranking 19th in scoring, 22nd in total yards, 21st in passing yards, and 25th in passing touchdowns. With Stroud still on his rookie contract, the Texans have financial flexibility to make a major move.
