Notre Dame’s momentum with 2026 Red Oak (Texas) wide receiver Brayden Robinson is rapidly growing. The Irish staff has long admired Robinson, and his first visit to South Bend on January 25th for Junior Day went exceptionally well. As a result, Notre Dame has emerged as a serious contender for the Texas standout.
Robinson was so impressed that he has already scheduled a return trip for an official visit from June 20-22. He has also locked in official visits to Miami (June 6-8) and Ohio State (June 13-15), with the possibility of more additions. However, for now, Notre Dame is positioned to make the final pitch before Robinson makes his summer decision.
Coming off a dominant junior season at Red Oak, Robinson led his team with 79 receptions, 1,119 yards, and 15 touchdowns, while also excelling as a return specialist. Despite his 5-8, 160-pound frame, his explosive playmaking ability has drawn heavy recruiting interest. He holds offers from Notre Dame, Ohio State, Texas, Oregon, LSU, Michigan, Tennessee, Auburn, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Nebraska, and Penn State, among many others.
Ranked No. 205 overall and No. 34 wide receiver in the 2026 class by 247Sports, Robinson is also considered Texas’ No. 32 overall player, a testament to his elite talent in a football-rich state.
Notre Dame already secured Dylan Faison at receiver alongside top quarterback Noah Grubbs in the 2026 class, but landing Robinson would further elevate the Irish offense with much-needed speed and versatility.
Additionally, if Texas Tech GM James Blanchard joins Notre Dame, it could boost their chances of landing Robinson, given Blanchard’s deep Texas ties and familiarity with the receiver.
