Denver Broncos right guard Quinn Meinerz received first-team All-Pro honors and was named the first alternate for the Pro Bowl Games. However, when the NFL reached out on Monday to invite him to replace Chiefs offensive lineman Joe Thuney, Meinerz “respectfully declined,” according to Mike Klis of 9News.

As a result, Browns guard Joel Bitonio will take Thuney’s place on the AFC roster for the Pro Bowl in Orlando this week.

Meinerz’s contract includes incentives for making first-team All-Pro, earning him an additional $1.5 million in escalators—$500,000 added to his payouts for the 2026, 2027, and 2029 seasons. This means he’ll earn $15.866 million in 2026 and $18.5 million in both 2027 and 2028.

The Broncos still have three Pro Bowlers this season: cornerback Pat Surtain II, returner Marvin Mims Jr., and outside linebacker Nik Bonitto.
