The New England Patriots have named Mike Vrabel as head coach, Josh McDaniels as offensive coordinator, Terrell Williams as defensive coordinator, and retained Jeremy Springer as special teams coordinator. Vrabel is now working on completing the rest of his coaching staff.
On Friday, Mike Vrabel confirmed in an interview with WBZ that the Patriots will retain assistant special teams coach Tom Quinn under special teams coordinator Jeremy Springer.
Quinn, 56, joined Jerod Mayo‘s staff in 2024 after serving as the New York Giants’ special teams coordinator from 2007-2017 and working under Vrabel as a special teams assistant with the Tennessee Titans.
Additionally, MassLive‘s Mark Daniels reported that defensive assistant Clinton McMillan will also join the Patriots’ coaching staff.
McMillan worked with Vrabel at the Titans from 2021-2023 as an assistant defensive line coach and continued in that role in 2024, adding the title of pass-rush specialist. Before his time in the NFL, he coached at Weber State, Marshall, Ohio Dominican, UT Martin, and Florida State, where he also played college football.
In New England, Quinn and McMillan reunite with Vrabel, Terrell Williams, Tony Dews, Zak Kuhr, and John Streicher, all of whom have previous ties to the Titans.
