ESPN recently predicted that Ty Simpson will be the starting quarterback for Alabama in 2025. A redshirt junior next season, Simpson is the most seasoned quarterback on the Crimson Tide roster. The former five-star recruit has served as the primary backup for the past two seasons.
In 2024, Simpson saw action in six games behind Jalen Milroe, totaling 167 passing yards, 44 rushing yards, and a touchdown. His most significant performance came in 2023 against USF, where he stepped in for Tyler Buchner and led Alabama to a victory, completing five passes for 73 yards and adding a rushing touchdown.
With the quarterback competition in Tuscaloosa heating up, all eyes will be on who gets the starting nod in the months ahead.
