Former Clemson wide receiver Jackson Crosby has found a new home, committing to East Tennessee State on Sunday.
Crosby, a 5-foot-10, 185-pound redshirt junior, joined Clemson as a walk-on in 2021 and entered the NCAA transfer portal in late December. Over his time with the Tigers, he played 31 offensive snaps across nine games from 2021-2024, recording two receptions for 25 yards.
Hailing from Six Mile, S.C., Crosby was a standout at Daniel High School, where he excelled in football and baseball. As captain of the Lions’ 2020 3A state championship team, he earned South Carolina 3A Offensive Back of the Year honors and was named All-State and All-Region. In high school, he showcased his versatility as a quarterback and wide receiver, compiling 787 passing yards and nine passing touchdowns, 852 receiving yards with 12 touchdowns, and 250 rushing yards with five touchdowns.
Crosby graduated from Clemson with a management degree in August 2024. Before joining the Tigers as a walk-on, he had initially committed to The Citadel to play both football and baseball, following in the footsteps of his father, Dan, who played baseball there from 1993-95.
Now at ETSU, Crosby will bring his experience and leadership to the Buccaneers with one year of eligibility remaining.
