The Miami Dolphins may face the Cleveland Browns on Sunday without several key players due to injuries.
Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (hip), wide receivers Tyreek Hill (wrist) and Jaylen Waddle(knee) are among those listed as questionable for Week 17. Tagovailoa and Hill participated in practice on a limited basis throughout the week, though Hill also had a rest designation alongside his wrist issue. Meanwhile, Waddle did not practice on Wednesday but returned in a limited capacity on Thursday and Friday.
Speaking on Friday, Waddle expressed cautious optimism about his availability: “I feel good,” he said, according to the team’s transcript. “They kind of limited me a little bit, but for the most part, I got through everything. They wanted me to hold back some parts. There is always a chance, always a chance.”
Other Dolphins listed as questionable include offensive tackle Terron Armstead (knee), safety Jordan Poyer (knee/finger), and wide receiver Dee Eskridge (knee).
However, Miami will definitely be without cornerback Kendall Fuller (knee) and linebacker Anthony Walker (knee), both of whom have been ruled out for the game.
On a positive note, linebacker Jordyn Brooks (quad/knee), fullback Alec Ingold (ankle), and wide receiver Malik Washington (knee) have been cleared to play, having been removed from the injury report.
The absences of key contributors like Tagovailoa, Hill, and Waddle could significantly impact Miami’s offensive performance against Cleveland. As the team monitors these injuries leading up to Sunday, the Dolphins’ depth will be tested in this critical late-season matchup.
