The Baltimore Ravens are heading into a crucial bye week, aiming to regroup and build momentum as they prepare for a playoff push. Under head coach John Harbaugh, Baltimore has made the postseason in five of the last six years but has struggled to reach the Super Bowl since their 2012 victory, with their only AFC Championship appearance during this period occurring last season. Despite a strong 13-4 regular season record last year, they fell to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship.

Currently at 8-5, the Ravens face an uphill battle to reach the Super Bowl, with most of their potential postseason games expected to be on the road. Since their 2012 triumph, Baltimore has only secured three playoff wins in six appearances.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson, who has a 2-4 playoff record, now leads one of the NFL’s top offenses, bolstered by the addition of Derrick Henry in the backfield. With high expectations, anything less than a Super Bowl appearance this season would likely be considered a disappointment.

Baltimore recently traded for WR Diontae Johnson to enhance their offensive arsenal, but the move hasn’t panned out as hoped. Johnson has only one catch for six yards across five games and was suspended earlier this week for conduct detrimental to the team. Ravens GM Eric DeCosta announced the suspension, stating, “We have made the difficult decision to suspend Diontae Johnson for our upcoming game against the New York Giants for conduct detrimental to the team. We will have no further comments on this matter going forward.”

With Johnson’s status uncertain, Bleacher Report predicts Baltimore will look to add a reliable, big-bodied receiver with proven scoring ability this offseason. The outlet suggests that Ole Miss WR Tre Harris could be a strong target in the NFL Draft.

“Tre Harris would be a great addition to the Ravens’ unique offense, which thrives with Lamar Jackson’s dynamic playmaking,” BR noted. “Harris has shown versatility, capable of playing all three receiver positions effectively. His route running, strength, and football IQ make him a prime candidate to become a productive starting receiver at the next level.”
