The Kansas Jayhawks secured an 84-66 win over UNC Wilmington on Tuesday, but the attention shifted to an injury sustained by freshman star Flory Bidunga.
During the first half, Bidunga appeared to hurt his ankle and was seen limping to the bench before heading to the locker room.
Although he returned to the bench later, he did not play in the second half.
His absence is concerning for the Jayhawks, who depend on his energy and inside presence.
If Bidunga’s injury keeps him out for an extended period, Kansas will face challenges in maintaining its depth, especially during a crucial part of the season.
Head coach Bill Self has not yet commented on the injury’s severity. Bidunga, a five-star recruit and key reserve, has been essential to Kansas’ early success.
