The Denver Broncos may have finally found their franchise quarterback in Bo Nix.
Beyond his on-field performance, Nix has stood out for his leadership and mindset off the field. Following the Broncos’ dominant 38-6 victory over the Atlanta Falcons, Nix delivered a powerful message that underscored his role as a team leader.
Heading into Sunday, Denver was reeling from consecutive losses to the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs. However, the team rebounded in style against Atlanta, and Nix addressed the team’s resilience in his postgame remarks:
“There’s nothing we can do about the past,” Nix said. “There’s nothing we can do about last week, the week before that, or even the win before that. You don’t want to settle or become complacent with what you’ve done in the past. You always find a way to move forward.
“The past few weeks, we’ve been stuck in the fire. As a crew, we’ve been running through it, doing whatever we can to get through the dark times and back to better ones. It’s important for our team to keep looking ahead, not dwelling on what’s been but focusing on what can be.”
Nix also highlighted the significance of Sunday’s win as a stepping stone for the team:
“I think we’re all excited. We know the opportunity we have. Beating a good football team today proves we belong on this stage. But we’re tired of being close. We don’t want to just be close anymore. Today was a step, and we need to keep taking them.”
With Nix’s steady improvement over the season’s first 11 weeks, the Broncos seem to have finally addressed their quarterback conundrum for the first time since Peyton Manning’s retirement.
It’s Bo Time in Denver.
