Florida State has been active on the recruiting trail, extending numerous scholarship offers to rising seniors and future prospects over the past few weeks. Despite ongoing changes in Tallahassee, the Seminoles remain committed to building strong relationships as the program heads into a pivotal offseason.
On Tuesday, FSU offered a scholarship to 2026 three-star wide receiver Devin Fitzgerald following a conversation with Assistant Director of Player Personnel DJ Daniels. If his last name sounds familiar, it’s because Devin is the son of NFL Hall of Fame-bound wide receiver and 11-time Pro Bowler Larry Fitzgerald.
The younger Fitzgerald has already garnered attention from programs like Pittsburgh, Arizona, Kansas State, Minnesota, and Washington State, among others. During his junior season at Brophy College Preparatory, Fitzgerald has been a standout, recording 38 catches for 566 yards and nine touchdowns. Notable performances include a season-high 103 yards and a touchdown in a 40-0 victory over Notre Dame Prep in September. He has surpassed 50 receiving yards in six of ten games this year.
Standing at 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, Fitzgerald is ranked as the No. 89 wide receiver and the No. 4 overall recruit in Arizona for the class of 2026 by 247Sports.
Florida State currently holds five verbal commitments in its 2026 recruiting class, which is ranked No. 8 nationally.
