Niko Bundalo will no longer be visiting the Kentucky Wildcats, as they appear to have been removed from his list of potential schools.
Initially, Bundalo was scheduled for an official visit to Kentucky on October 18th, but that trip has now been canceled with no plans to reschedule, per 247 Sports’ Travis Branham.
Ranked as high as 17th overall in the 2025 class by On3, Bundalo is a versatile Ohio big man known for his ability to shoot from long range, a skillset Kentucky head coach Mark Pope has been eager to add. Despite this, UConn has been viewed as the frontrunner for Bundalo, making this a difficult recruitment for the Wildcats.
On the bright side, Kentucky remains heavily involved with other 2025 big men, including consensus top-10 recruits Chris Cenac and Caleb Wilson. It’s unlikely Kentucky will land more than one of these top prospects, so Bundalo’s decision might indicate a stronger position for the Wildcats in the pursuit of Cenac or Wilson.
It’ll be interesting to see how the recruiting landscape unfolds in the coming weeks.
