The Houston Texans have a mixed bag of news when it comes to injuries.
The Houston Texans have faced numerous injuries this season, leading to a growing list of players sidelined.
Running back Joe Mixon, out since Week 2, and offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil, who exited the Week 4 game, are both dealing with ankle injuries and did not participate in practice at the start of the week.
“Yeah, they’re day-to-day,” Texans coach DeMeco Ryans stated. “We’ll assess them tomorrow and see how it goes. Neither of them practiced today, so we’ll monitor their progress throughout the week with Laremy and Joe.”
On a positive note, the Texans welcomed back wide receiver Tank Dell and defensive back Jimmie Ward to practice after both missed the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
“I’m very excited to have Tank [Dell] back,” Ryans said. “I definitely missed him last week; he’s a key player for us. His return is huge for our offense and what we can accomplish, so I’m thrilled to see him back out there today, along with Jimmie [Ward]. His versatility will be vital for our defense.”
The Texans will need to regain their health as they prepare to face the Buffalo Bills this weekend, which represents one of their toughest matchups of the season.
