Following the Denver Broncos’ victory over the New York Jets, running back Javonte Williams highlighted that several key players are set to return in the coming weeks. But who exactly are those players?
The Broncos currently have four players on injured reserve and two on the reserve/physically unable to perform (PUP) list, all of whom could potentially return later this season.
Cornerback Damarri Mathis (ankle) is eligible to return in Week 5 after spending the first four games on IR. While it’s uncertain if Mathis is fully recovered, there’s a chance he could be back for this week’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Additionally, outside linebacker Drew Sanders (Achilles) and safety Delarrin Turner-Yell (ACL) are also eligible to return this week, though it’s unlikely as both players may need more time to heal.
Looking ahead, running back Audric Estime (ankle) is eligible for a Week 6 return, while right tackle Mike McGlinchey (MCL) and outside linebacker Baron Browning (foot) could return in Week 7.
Players eligible to return:
– CB Damarri Mathis: Eligible Week 5
– LB Drew Sanders: Eligible Week 5 (but likely needs more time)
– DB Delarrin Turner-Yell: Eligible Week 5 (but likely needs more time)
– RB Audric Estime: Eligible Week 6
– OT Mike McGlinchey: Eligible Week 7
– OLB Baron Browning: Eligible Week 7
On a less positive note, linebacker Alex Singleton (ACL) and offensive lineman Quinn Bailey (ankle) have been placed on season-ending injured reserve and will not return this year.
As Denver prepares for their upcoming game against the Raiders, the team will provide an official injury report following Wednesday’s practice.
