LSU football has secured a commitment from four-star safety CJ Jimcoily, as announced on Thursday.
Standing at 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds, Jimcoily is ranked as the No. 32 safety and the No. 348 player nationally for the Class of 2025, according to the 247Sports Composite.
A student at Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, Jimcoily is also the No. 9 player in Tennessee. He becomes the first player from Tennessee to join LSU’s 2025 recruiting class.
Jimcoily chose the Tigers over notable programs like Alabama, Stanford, Tennessee, Michigan, and Ole Miss, among others.
He is the third defensive back to commit to LSU’s 2025 class, joining five-star cornerback DJ Pickett and three-star safety Jhase Thomas.
Jimcoily is the 10th defensive player to pledge to LSU. The Tigers’ 2025 class also includes four-star edge rushers Damien Shanklin and LaJesse Harrold, four-star defensive linemen Zion Williams and Brandon Brown, four-star linebackers Charles Ross and Keylan Moses, and three-star linebacker Jaiden Braker.
With Jimcoily’s commitment, LSU now boasts the No. 3 recruiting class in the nation.
