Eddie Howe’s players are now training for the upcoming Premier League season, which kicks off on August 17th with a home game against Southampton. Starting at St James’ Park is ideal and should give the Magpies a strong chance to begin the season on a positive note.

However, Howe must ensure his pre-season preparations are on point.
