Earlier on Wednesday, we reported that Danish media sources indicated FC Copenhagen was ‘very close’ to finalizing a deal with West Ham United for Nathan Trott. The transfer was expected to be completed for approximately £1.7 million, with a swift resolution anticipated. Tipsbladet now features an update on the negotiations, stating that Trott’s transfer from West Ham to Copenhagen is nearly finalized.

It is reported that FC Copenhagen will purchase the goalkeeper for €1.5 million, with an additional €360,000 in potential bonuses. Trott is scheduled to undergo his medical examination with Copenhagen over the weekend and is expected to sign a four-year contract with the club.

Trott hasn’t been of much use to West Ham recently. After being officially promoted to the first team in the summer of 2022, he was loaned to Vejle BK on a two-year deal. During his time there, he made 56 appearances, conceding only 52 goals and securing 22 clean sheets. This performance attracted the interest of Copenhagen, who moved quickly to finalize the deal.
