Lexington Bryan Station defensive back Jordan Haskins, an emerging talent in the Class of 2027, received a scholarship offer from Louisville on Wednesday evening. His father, JT Haskins Sr., was a player for the Cardinals in the early 2000s.
The offer came after Haskins’ impressive performance at Louisville’s camp on Wednesday.
“I had a great camp,” Haskins told Cardinal Authority. “I felt good physically, which allowed me to move around and make plays in the secondary.”
Following the camp, UofL cornerbacks coach Steve Ellis spent time talking with Haskins.
“Coach Ellis offered me,” said Haskins. “He said he liked my game and my size.”
Louisville’s offer, Haskins’ seventh, gives him the chance to play for the same program where his father once shone.
“I’m truly honored,” said Haskins. “The hard work I put in is paying off.”
Playing in all 14 games at Bryan Station last season, Haskins recorded 37 tackles, including three for a loss, and also had an interception.
Haskins also has early scholarship offers from Akron, EKU, Kentucky, Miami of Ohio, Ohio, and Toledo.
The elder Haskins played for Louisville in the early 2000s and has been coaching high school football in Lexington since 2008. He started at Lafayette and later moved to Bryan Station as an assistant, where he attended high school and was an All-State performer in 1999.
