West Ham United have issued an ultimatum to Galatasaray, after making an official approach for Wilfried Zaha.

Wilfried Zaha, currently a star at Galatasaray, has emerged as a transfer target for West Ham United as manager Julen Lopetegui seeks to strengthen his attacking options. This interest contrasts with the stance of former manager David Moyes, who reportedly rejected the chance to sign the 31-year-old last year, doubting Zaha’s potential to improve the squad.

Lopetegui, however, has a different perspective and is eager to bring in new talent quickly. He aims to complete most of his transfer business before the start of West Ham’s pre-season games, targeting at least six new signings, with Zaha potentially being one of them .

According to Turkish publication Fotospor, West Ham United have officially inquired about Wilfried Zaha and have given Galatasaray a three-day deadline to respond with their demands. The Turkish club is reportedly asking for around £10.2 million for the talented winger.

Zaha, an Ivory Coast international, has been heavily linked with a move to the London Stadium this summer. Described by the Evening Standard as an ‘unpredictable genius,’ Zaha is known for his exceptional dribbling skills and playmaking abilities. Despite spending time away from the Premier League, his talent remains undeniable.

Since joining Galatasaray as a free agent from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2023, Zaha has scored 10 goals and provided five assists in 42 games. During his tenure at Crystal Palace, he accumulated 90 goals and 76 assists in 458 games, showcasing his consistent performance at a high level.

Julen Lopetegui, West Ham’s current manager, sees Zaha as a valuable addition to bolster the team’s attack. If available for just over £10 million, securing Zaha’s services would be a strategic move to enhance West Ham’s offensive capabilities for the upcoming season.
