Todd Rosiak, the Brewers reporter for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, interviewed William Contreras following his brother’s injury. He expressed the difficulty of the situation for him and his family, also acknowledging that J.D. Martinez had struck him twice in the same game last year.

Contreras additionally recalled that Martinez had hit him with backswings twice during a game at Dodger Stadium last season.

“That happened last year at Dodger Stadium. Same guy hit me two times in the same game,” he stated. “I’m sorry for my brother.”
