The New England Patriots are embarking on a fresh chapter under Robert Kraft’s leadership, bidding farewell to the iconic Bill Belichick after 24 seasons. They are now on the brink of selecting a potential franchise quarterback, following the departure of Mac Jones to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

With the Belichick era officially concluded, the Patriots are poised to adopt a new ethos and approach, signaling a significant shift following a string of underwhelming seasons post-Tom Brady.

Currently holding the No. 3 overall pick in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft, the Patriots are expected to target either Drake Maye or Jayden Daniels, depending on availability when they make their selection.

In their pursuit of rejuvenation, rumors suggest the Patriots may be eyeing an upgrade to their receiving unit, with speculation circulating about a possible acquisition of star wide receiver A.J. Brown from the Philadelphia Eagles, as reported by Eliot Shorr-Parks of 94 WIP.

If the Patriots are able to get their hands on Brown, it would be a game-changer for the team, especially with a talented quarterback coming into the fold with Daniels or Maye.

However, the Eagles will need a massive trade haul back to make this happen, which the Patriots might not be willing to do unless they’re convinced Brown is the player they need to get back to being a competitive team in the AFC.
