Oshawa Generals’ forward Rasmus Kumpulainen has inked a three-year entry-level deal with the Minnesota Wild.
Chosen by the Wild as the 53rd overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft, Kumpulainen, a Finnish player, has made quite an impression in his debut season in the OHL. With 28 goals and 55 points in 56 games, he’s showcased his scoring prowess. Additionally, as the 13th overall selection in the 2023 CHL Import Draft, he ranks third in goals and sixth in points among Oshawa Generals skaters, contributing significantly to the team’s leadership in the OHL’s Eastern Conference.
Moreover, the talented 18-year-old represented Finland at the 2024 World Juniors, where he contributed two goals to their fourth-place finish.
