The West Ham United owners could now look at a very highly rated 45-year-old manager to replace David Moyes.

David Moyes remains under significant pressure at the London Stadium, despite West Ham securing consecutive victories. There’s speculation that the board might seek a replacement for him in the upcoming summer.

While some West Ham supporters are discontented with Moyes, external voices like Jeff Stelling defend him, questioning the reasons for the internal dissatisfaction with the manager.

Moyes’ contract with the London Stadium expires in the summer, and currently, it seems likely that he could be replaced. Feyenoord’s manager, Arne Slot, has been strongly linked with the West Ham managerial position in recent times.

Furthermore, reports suggest that the owners of West Ham are admirers of the 45-year-old Slot.

A report from Give Me Sport indicates that Slot is highly regarded at the London Stadium. His managerial record boasts a 60.4% win rate across 245 games, compared to Moyes’s 41.82% from 660 games managed.

While some may argue that Slot has managed in less challenging leagues than Moyes, the quality of football displayed by Slot’s teams speaks for itself. Feyenoord, under Slot’s guidance since 2021, has demonstrated remarkable intensity, pressing, and tactical sophistication.

Since taking over Feyenoord, Slot has elevated the club’s performance significantly. In his first season, they secured a third-place finish and reached the Europa Conference League final, albeit losing to Roma. Feyenoord clinched the league title last season and currently sit second in the Eredivisie.

Slot’s style emphasizes attacking, fluid football, typically employing a 4-2-3-1 formation but occasionally switching to a 4-3-3. His approach has drawn comparisons to Marcelo Bielsa, with an emphasis on full-backs pushing forward, center-backs spreading wide, and the goalkeeper acting as a quasi-defender.

Many believe Slot would be an ideal candidate to lead West Ham into a successful new era. Recent reports suggest that he could indeed be in line to replace Moyes at the club.
