The start of the 2023 NFL season was rough for the Denver Broncos, despite the arrival of head coach Sean Payton. They struggled heavily, reminiscent of their previous season’s woes. Despite a dismal performance, losing five of their first six games, including a humiliating 70-point loss at home to the Miami Dolphins, Denver managed to improve, winning six of their following seven games.

Under Payton’s guidance, the team rallied and found themselves in playoff contention in the AFC, as originally intended. However, the latter part of the season saw some turbulence, especially regarding the future of star quarterback Russell Wilson, who was benched.

Now, with the season concluded, Wilson’s departure from Denver seems increasingly likely, especially following a report by Jeremy Fowler of ESPN via Dov Kleiman. Despite doubts about his elite status, Wilson demonstrated his capability on the field last season.

As the Broncos contemplate their next steps in the offseason, it’s expected that there will be interest from other teams in acquiring Wilson’s talents. Many speculate that his time in Denver could be coming to an end, with both sides possibly seeking a separation during the NFL offseason.
